Why you should Weight Train!

This is one topic I was desperately waiting to write on.
Ask me why? and I have sooo much to say.
So let’s start…..

I know weight training/strength training sounds weird for many people specially for women, but if only you know how beneficial it is you would try to do it even if it is weird for you.

Let’s jump to some of it’s benefits/advantages.

Weight training is Anti-aging( it is much better, effective and cheaper than your anti aging pills;)).

Wondering HOW?
To understand this you need to go deep into this topic.

When you weight train/lift weights, your body goes through a Catabolic State(breaking down of muscle/aging).
As I told you before, our body is a great machine. It will now repair these muscles so that if you again put your body through the same amount of wear and tear, your muscles are ready. Therefore, it goes through an Anabolic State(building new muscles,cells/anti-aging effect).

Trust me, people would not be able to guess your age, you would look and feel younger than your age.

Whichever brand’s anti aging cream or pill you take, remember that weight training is and will remain the Number 1 method to preserve age/youth, vigour, bone and muscle.

– Strength training allows your body to BURN CALORIES AT REST.

How would you feel if you burn calories while you are resting.
DREAM? NOT ANYMORE.

It’s actually possible, now you would ask me HOW? See I know you guys soo well;).

So listen, when you weight train your body gives you a 48hr window after the workout to burn more calories, which is also known as the “AFTER BURN” or burning calories at rest. Have you ever wondered about burning calories while asleep. Sounds amazing RIGHT!

That means, it boost your metabolism for hours after your workout so you burn fat after your workouts too.
Your body is constantly burning calories while at rest for about 48hrs after your woukout (you are burning more fat throughout the day even while sleeping, walking and performing your daily chores). What more do you want?

This one is specially for women. I know we all have seen that advertisement about taking that magic powder in milk for bone density.

As we all know that women starts to lose on their muscle and bone after the age of 35 or 40. To build and maintain these muscles and bone density, it’s very important for women to weight train.
It can help protect your bones and prevent osteoporosis related fractures.

Studies also show that strength training over a period of time can help prevent bone loss and may even help build new bone.

So, if you want to maintain healthy lifestyle and if you are worried about your bone density after watching that advertisement start your strength training program;).

– It helps in preventing and curing conditions like diabetes, cholesterol even thyroid to a certain extend and many more.

Yes, the next time you take your pills, consider to start training so that maybe one day you can reduce the number of pills you take.

Ok! with this statement I guess boys will be satisfied and happy but girls please don’t freak out.
For you, it won’t make you look bulky for sure.
Although, you would look leaner, toner and sexier, if that’s ok with you😁- as you would exchange that fat mass for lean mass.
Now I guess you got me;).

Oh yes! it’s true, weight training increases your metabolism. So by just putting some lean mass on you can eat more frequently as your lean muscle would be metabolically expensive than your fat mass.
Who doesn’t like to eat more food😁.

– It increases your strength, confidence, physical appearance, fitness levels.

Trust me, apart from the above mentioned benefits there are many more. I could go on and on about this topic. Strength training is one of the best things happened to me which I thank God for.

      Yeah sure! I personally am not a fan of it. I still mix it into my workouts sometimes, I will write about some of the training tips in future so you will find it there.
